She can ride a bike!!!!

Elizabeth got this "butterfly" bike as a hand me down from our neighbors almost before she could walk and has begged us every season since to let her ride it. We let her try but it has only been for the past 6 months that she could reach the pedals. We don't have sidewalks by our house so we have been taking it to the park with us to let her practice. She has really picked it up, which makes me so happy and sad at the same time. Happy that she will be able to ride bikes with us and sad because she is turning into a little girl and time is flying by.

Belly laughs

This might be my new favorite thing to make him say....

Memorial Day Butterflies

Memorial Day was pretty fun this year.  We took a short drive to the Botanical Gardens to view the new butterfly pavilion.  We were a bit disappointed because there were only 100 butterflies and it was a large building but the kids had a good time.  One of the butterflies landed on Oliver's bright yellow shirt and it kinda freaked him out.

About a month ago we started bearing testimony during family home evening. Elizabeth has loved this and has started to bear her own testimony without any help. Today during testimony meeting she asked if she could get up and bear her testimony we told her she would have to do it all by herself and that we wouldn't be able to help her. She insisted she would still like to do it and she didn't need any help. l went up with her just to make sure she could do it but she didn't need me at all and bore a very sincere & beautiful testimony. It was something like this:

I Know my Heavenly Father loves me. I know He gives us the rain so that we can have grass and food to eat. l love my Heavenly Father. Bless us to have a good day in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

It was a proud mom moment and one that made me cry realizing how fast she is growing up. f am so thanKful for the teachings of the church that ground my family in truth and the teachings of Jesus Christ.
