A Farewell to Bessie and a Hello to more fun times

In August we bought Brad and Tara's 2007 Honda Accord. They were so cool, they brought it out to us. Since then we sold Bryan's 1994 Nissan Altima. Bessie was a great car (even if I, Breea, didn't like to drive her), and I think she went to a good new owner. So this is a farewell to Bessie and a hello to all the fun times we are going to have in the new car.
In related news we took a picture of me on Sunday with a label of 25 weeks, and then I realized that I was actually closer to being 26 weeks. Oh well. I also wasn't going to post it because I told Bryan that the picture made me look fat..........then I also remembered that I'm pregnant and therefore should be looking a little, shall we say, pregnant.
I also made that skirt, it was sooo easy and I love it because of the really elastic waistband.

Nursery: Part 2

I realized 2 things after the post last time 1) The curtains look like they are white, which they are not and 2) I didn't post my inspiration for the nursery. So here it is.
The temporary job that I worked at this summer had a whole collection of artwork that wasn't being used. I told my boss how much I liked this and he told me I could take it home when I left. I'm sure Elizabeth is going to love it.Here are the curtains in much better lighting. The red 'strings' are to tie up the curtains if I ever want to do that.

This is the dust ruffle. The green definitely will not show since it is just some extra fabric that I threw in there because I wasn't sure I would have enough for everything else.

And last of all, the top of the crib quilt that I finished last week. This means that I have to move on to the quilting part, which intimidates me, so I'm putting that off until a later date.

Hooray for visitors

Last week Brad and Tara came to drop off the car we bought, and to hang out for a day. We tested out the trunk of the car. (Definitely bigger than our last trunk, it fits two people in it ;)Then we went to Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs. Brad had just finished a wicked hard hike 2 days before and was still a little......a lot sore so we were going to take a segway tour. This is us getting ready to go on a segway tour.

Then after we called the guy and found out that we wouldn't be able to go for an hour and a half we decided to just walk around a little.

Thanks for coming to visit Brad and Tara we sure had fun, we hope you did too.

You know fall is coming when.......

...my feet go from being barefoot all the time to looking like this.

I don't know what I would do without them, except have feet that feel like they belong to a dead man.
