How to deal with worry`

So for the last few weeks I have been worried about this move. When are we moving, how are we moving, what are we going to do when we get there, will I get a job, who wants to hire me, how will pay for everything, do I really want to move so far away from my family, does my family even care, what if no one likes me...etc? I really am excited, but just a little baby bit worried. So to deal with my worry, I've been sewing. Below are some things I have done for my friends. I also made myself a dress that turned out really really really frumpy, so frumpy that you probably wouldn't want to wear it to a party where you were supposed to look frumpy, because you would be too frumpy. Therefore, there aren't any pictures of the frumpy dress I made for myself. Also, there are more pictures to come, but I have to wait until my sister-in-law has her shower on Saturday to post the rest of what I have been making because I don't want to spoil her surprise.

The pictures below are for my friend Megan Farwell. She is having a little boy and I am ticked that we are moving before he comes and I am going to miss everything, so I made up for it by making an adorable quilt with burp cloth and an outfit to match.

So now I don't have to worry, because even it I can't find a job and nobody wants to be my friend I can always sew adorable baby things in hopes that somehow that will get me a job or at least a friend.

More pictures of the money pit.

Movin' on Up...

To the Mile High City! Home of the Denver Thuggets (Nuggets), Avalanche, Rockies, Broncos (booooo), and sister city to Brest, France. This is Bryan in front of the capital building.A huge reason for our trip to Denver was to find a place to live. We went house hunting and found our house on the first day of the trip. Later that night we called the bishop of the ward we will be living in and he found some one in the ward willing to come and pick us up from our hotel and take us to church. Mind you our hotel is half an hour one way from where we will be living. Then Sunday morning it dumped, making the trip into more like a 45 min one way trip. Bless Brother Skidmore and his great family for being willing to sacrifice so much time to help us get to church. Hooray for the Dove Valley ward.
This is the house we found that we immediately put an offer on. Lucky thing too, because two hours later the seller had 2 identical offers come in on it. Our offer was accepted and thus the tour of our new house. (This is only a partial tour, for a full tour, you have to come and visit us.) Our new address, in case you want to Google Earth it, is 16350 Orchard Grass Ln, Parker CO

The house. (Notice the trees in the yard, the garage and flower beds just waiting for Breea's tulips and daffodils.

This is the view as you walk in the front door. The living room to the left and obviously the kitchen in the front. If you notice in the bottom left corner of the picture, there is a piece of the handrail leading upstairs to two of the bedrooms and a bathroom.
This is a view from the kitchen into the front room. That window is amazing right? And all of the pictures that Andy has given us will finally have somewhere to hang.
This is the downstairs family room, that you can see is also attached to the kitchen. This room has a fireplace, but it is not pictured below, it's one of the features you can only enjoy if you visit ;).

Upstairs bathroom, the one you will get to use when you visit.
And below the happy couple in front of their new money pit. Ok, so hopefully it won't be too much of a money pit.
We are so happy that everything worked out so smooth and so quickly. Thanks to a great realtor in Logan who showed us a billion houses so we knew what we wanted, and then referred us to another fantastic realtor(s) in Denver we have had a pretty easy process.

We are planning to close and move in on March 12th, if all goes well with the inspection repairs that we requested. Bryan starts his job on March 15th and that's when I will start searching for a job because I will probably be bored.

Oh what do you do in the wintertime.......

Craft and sew! Ok, let's be honest I do that all the time whether it's winter, spring, summer or fall. But, since the air in Logan is toxic in the winter I make baby clothes/blankets/accessories for all of my pregnant friends and family members. This is a picture of some things I made for a friend, Emily, who is pregnant and due in a few days. Emily is a photographer so she was kind enough to snap some pictures of my creations.(Left to right) Short sleeved jacket for summer, skirt to match, and brown pants with pink stitching. I made a similar outfit for my friend Lauren only for her boy that is on his way this week as well. Congrats to all my pregnant friends, and don't worry, you'll get cute things too.

Vegas....three months ago

So at the beginning of December our office went to Vegas for a recruiting trip. Recruiting pictures would be boring so here are my fun pictures from the trip.
Lee Cannon getting a fake tattoo. We were all going to get one, but after I saw his, I changed my mind......
This is what it looked like:
I should mention that the guy who was doing the tattoos was cussing up a storm and that he used deodorant to rub the drawing of the tattoo onto Lee's skin . He also kept mentioning how he was totally smashed and probably should have come to work sober......probably.
We also got tickets to the Blue Man Group because my brother-in-law is basically the best.

And that was Vegas. Truthfully, I hate the town, I think it's dirty and sleezy and makes me feel like I'm sinning just by walking around, but I had tons of fun with my office. Go Aggies!
