A Letter to Dad

Dear Dad,

Remember when we ruined your baby. Well not your baby, baby, because that's me. I'm talking about the baby that has 8 cylinders, is freshly painted, with a brand new engine, oh yeah, that one, the 1967 baby, usually referred to as the Mustang. did you know that if you pretend to steal the Mustang that the cover on the top of the steering wheel falls off? Then the horn starts going off, and it just doesn't stop? So then your laughing hysterically while sitting at the Lincoln County Fair and people are staring at you? Sometimes that happens.

Then if you go to the fair and leave the horn unplugged, when you come back and plug it back in and try to start the Mustang, the steering wheel starts smoking, but it won't start. Sometimes that happens too. Did you know that then it keeps smoking, no matter what? Then you have to unplug the negative charge on the battery to make the smoking stop? Yeah, you do.

So when that's unplugged, the car won't start either, so what would you do? If your cell phone was almost dead? You only had four calls (your not in prison so you might have four calls)? Well don't worry, I wouldn't call the fire department either. I'd call you, but you were in a movie, so then I'd call Uncle Rick's old number, but would then have to call Grandma to get Uncle Rick's real number, and then call Uncle Rick and beg him to come save me. Then he would.

So if the Mustang is still smoking when you get home, and the horn is still going off noisily all know why. But I just want to remind you...Bryan was driving.

Clay Pigeons

Tonight we went clay pigeon shooting. Breea hit one moving with the 12 Gauge! It looked something like this
after about 10 shots with the 12 Gauge Breea was done and spent the next while using our neighbors thrower to send pigeons flying for me and my neighbors. Later in the evening I set a bunch of pigeons on the hillside and Breea went at them with the Rugar 10/22. I tell you what I couldn't keep the clips loaded fast enough for her.

I had a day full of fun and surprises. The best of which was coming home to my parents sitting on my couch (thanks Mom and Dad). Bryan is so sneaky and he surprised me by requesting that my parents com surprise me on my birthday. They stayed for dinner, which Bryan made, and then played a game and went home. It was great to see them even if it was just for a few hours.
I also got to go the the Indigo Girls concert in Salt Lake tonight with a friend. It was in an outdoor amphitheater and was on the perfect night. I had a blast.

Thanks to all who made my birthday a fabulous day.

Sand Castle Building Part 2

We went to Bear Lake with Bryan's family over the 4th of July weekend. We decided to have yet another sand castle competition, although I can't pretend that anyone was as interested as Bryan and Kelby and me, and boy oh boy did we win.
Here is the castle that Jill and Taylor and Lindsay built:

Here is the castle that Kayden and Garrett built:

And here is the prize of Bear Lake (no this is not our castle):

This is our castle:

Thanks to all who participated, we had a great weekend, and built a freakin awesome castle.
