Summer Time is Craft Time... at least for Breea

For the last, well I don't know, 21 years of my life, or so it seems, summers have been the time when I can do whatever I want to do. Read, swim, bike, hike (let's be honest I don't do a lot of this), boat, and yes...CRAFT! Below are some of my latest creations. I made the dress for a friend who is having a baby in October (pink is still in in October right?). I didn't have a pattern, so I just made it up because I wanted to do something besides the blankets that I always do for everyone.

The cards are just because I am OBSESSED with my latest toy. My Mom and Dad bought me a cricut for graduation and I have been playing with it, creating cards and books, and all sorts of ideas in my spare time (aka every waking moment).

All is Fair in Love and Tennis

So Bryan LOVES tennis. He kept asking me to play and I kept using the excuse that we didn't have rackets. One day while at work I got a phone call from Bryan asking if he could buy tennis rackets, and I thought, "I'm not sure I will love this, but it will be an adventure". So a couple Mondays ago we played tennis for family home evening. Pictures are to come but what is not pictured are the nice people who played on the courts on either side of us. Bryan didn't tell me that he was good at tennis and that I am not, and that whoever we ended up next to would end up fetching our balls. This was the case no matter who served, as long as I tried to return. Needless to say, it didn't last very long, but it will be fun to get better (or should I say have Bryan show me how to get better) together.

Sand Castles @ Bear Lake!

We went to visit Joey at bear lake this weekend. We decided to stay the night at Grandmas Cabin instead of camping on the beach due to a rainy forecast. Tanner and Amber Jones also joined us on Saturday for some fun in the sun! We were inspired by Nicoles recent visit to the sand castle competition so we had our own. GIRLS VS BOYS! Lets take a vote who's is better?

Shoshone Falls

So after spending extensive time in Shoshone ID, Breea and I made our first visit to Shoshone Falls. Well it wasn't a first for Breea but it was a first for me. It was definitely worth the $3.00 entrance fee.

Unfortunately the falls were not running at capacity. Instead of seeing the falls as show above, they looked like the picture below. It was still cool. Next trip to Shoshone I am going to try and convince Breea to go visit Twin Falls.

So Alexis and her friend Alli are staying with us this week. They are going to EFY at 9 every morning, but I have to be at work at 8 every morning so they come and hang out in my office for an hour before they go to EFY. While they were here today I was out meeting with my boss. I came back to this masterpiece as my new desktop background on my computer. Even though she is 14 and some may wonder why I'm so excited drawings from nieces and nephews never get old.
